I love it when a woman wears our favorite things like denim, work boots, and vintage sunglasses... I really like Caggie's denim on denim look. When you start to appreciate the details like the combination of colors and textures it all starts to make sense. The tortoise gold-rimmed Persol frames with the different hues of her dirty blonde hair. The tattered shorts, shirt, and sloppy boots are incredibly edgy but there's also a soft and beautiful femininity to it.
The feathered earring and bird tattoos are a subtle juxtaposed detail that might go unnoticed at first glance. The way her turquoise ring highlights the washed out blues of the denim shirt is a really brilliant final touch. Add a little bit of sun and wind for good measure and ladies and gentleman you have some daily inspiration. I hope you enjoy the beautiful and talented Caggie Dunlop

Here is a collaboration that is refined by two very comparable concepts and philosophy’s. The Red Wing for J.Crew Rugged Chukka Boot is a well comprised piece that mixes heritage with an all American feel. J Crew offers Red Wing a great outlet especially for the Rugged Chukka, a shoe which is finding a location. Finished with a combination of materials, the waxed canvas and suede tongue provides a nice touch to the leather around the base.
The Red Wing history is one of the richest around, having been founded in 1905 in Red Wing, Minnesota by Charles Beckman. The work place Red Wing serves has expanded from the grain fields of the Upper Mississippi River valley to the international oil fields and every tough job site in between. Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. continues to be a privately-held corporation based in Red Wing, Minnesota. Still based on the same concept which was created by the founder, Red Wing will continue to evolve going by the basis of similar projects from the label.

Raven and Sonik went to São Paulo, Brazil in December of 1997 to put together a story on Brazilian graffiti for 12ozProphet's sixth issue. Twist had connected us with Os Gemeos, and we went there to introduce them to the world via our magazine. The sight of São Paulo and the otherworldly graffiti scene exploding over its gut-wrenching social landscape, the peculiarly Brazilian collision of poverty and wealth, was a complete shock. Meeting Os Gemeos - as well as Nina, Vitche, and Herbert Baglione, gave us friends for life, and the sight of their work was a glimpse into the future of an art movement we thought we knew, but even now, more than a dozen years later, has yet to catch up. In 1984 Steve Powers started climbing rooftops in his neighborhood and painting his alias ESPO as a dues paying member of the ICY graffiti club. 25 years later he returned home to Philadelphia in the summer of 2009 to write a love letter across the same rooftops facing the Market-Frankford line. The letter, meant for one, with meaning for all, encompasses 50 walls on a 20 block stretch of market street. Drawing input, inspiration, and work from the community Powers created a letter to and from west Philly. This unprecedented public art project was a collaboration of Powers, The Mural Arts Program, and the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. It required 1200 cans of spray paint, 800 gallons of bucket paint, and the skilled hands of 20 of the finest spray painters in America, who Powers put into the legendary ICY club.

The Spring/Summer custom Tricker’s make ups from The Bureau have just hit the Belfast store. Ok. so every Tricker’s order is a custom order, but The Bureau seem to be one of the few places to grasp the opportunity of having their very own range of shoes produced for them and go the extra mile to create something really special.

This season there are two versions of the ubiquitous suede buck with red brick sole in the form of the Kendal Super Shoe and the Robert Derby Shoe, plus the Burford work boot in a dark brown and the popular Malton brogue boot in suede with red laces. However, the highlight of the range is the Polo Chukka Boot, in a deep blue suede with a Vibram sole, I saw these on a preview in the store’s blog recently and instantly fell in love with the way it takes such a familiar and over used shape and turns them into something really modern and special . Hello new summer boots!

The denim jackets are some of my favourite items from fragment designs Levis Fenom. Unfortunately, alot of denim jackets are cut short, given they are based on vintage models, for me anyway, this just doesn’t fit today, Fenom have taken this into account and have reshaped the classic trucker jacket for today. I was lucky enough to have tried on the sample of this new light washed jacket, and the fit is the best yet. Available now through Levis Japan’s online store, and other hard to find Fenom outlets

The lookbook for the latest collection from Woolrich Woolen Mills has just been released. Daiki Suzuki’s take on the American heritage brand this season sees him toning down the outdoor and hunting feel in favour of a maritime theme, based on his love of surfing.

Featuring some of the hall marks we expect from the label including light weight multi-pocket jackets and vests, chambray, hunting style jackets and parkas recreated to be more sympathetic towards the naval inspiration. Also included are more traditionally marine and beach items such as striped t-shirts, bermuda shorts and yachting jackets, Suzuki’s love of detailed and vibrant patterns is also evident across several items in the range.

A really summery and wearable look form this consistently successful collaboration, which is sadly coming to an end soon. Its hard to think who else could do this label justice, it would be good to see them go in a whole new direction. Who do you think would be a good fit?

As part of the 30th anniversary (XXX) special projects, Stussy has teamed up with Ricoh to produce a co-branded GR Digital III camera. Ricoh, the Japanese electronics company founded in 1936, has previously never collaborated with a brand to offer a customized camera body in their cult favorite GR Digital line.
Inspired by friends who use the brand’s equipment, such as Japan based photographer Rip Zinger, we were impressed by the size, looks and performance of the Ricoh GR series.

To celebrate the Stussy x Ricoh GR Digital III release, Stussy will curate and present a photo project featuring virtual galleries photographers who we have worked with or admired over our 30-year history. Expect these images to start appearing on Stussy.com in early 2010.

Death has been a central theme for Hirst throughout his career. This series of foil-block prints, with its vibrant, joyful colours, is reminiscent of the images produced to mark the Mexican Day of the Dead.

Supreme designer Luke Meier has stepped outside his role at the NYC Skate brand and created this entirely new shoe for Vans Syndicate. Syndicate have made a name for themselves by not being afraid to mess with existing silhouette’s and create something new out of quality materials, this model is no different.
